Big Grin New Member/Owner from England
Hello all,

I'm proud to be a member here and prouder still to be the owner of a low mileage (just over 300 miles) 2013 CB1100 ABS which I bought a few weeks ago, as an ex demonstrator with 100 miles only.

I love the bike, and feel a real connection with it, as I did a year ago when I first saw and sat on the very bike I now own when it was new and unregistered in the Honda dealership. Little did I realise that a year later I would own this same beastie, but hey, I do!

In the little over 200 miles I have ridden in warm and cold, wet and dry. Even got caught out in a hail storm!Sad

I just stiffened up my suspension today and I must say it transformed the handling, although I think I've gone too stiff on the forks so they'll be eased off before the next ride.

Glad to be part of our wonderful worldwide community, and love reading the forum. A lot of nice chaps here, and some make me chortle out loud, particularly Red Mist, the grumpy old bugger! Beer

I look forward to contributing more on the forum as my seat time grows.

Tortuga.

G'day mate! Thanks

I'll have to get some pics taken (before I crash it lol) and will definitely scribble up some ride reports. Had my first race today, with a Triumph Thruxton. Stuck with him but didn't get to pass him as he pulled into a side road (knowing his fate lol) plus I'm supposed to be running it in so the race wasn't a great idea!Undecided

Welcome Tortuga. Lots of belly laughs around here, plus some great sharing. Enjoy the CB1100 styling and the inline 4.
Glad you mentioned stiffening things up ;-), I need to get a spanner and tighten up my rear shocks. Welcome to the group!

It's worth doing! I'm on the third position from bottom on the rear shocks and went to two rings visible on the forks (stock setting is three) although I will try 2.5 as it seemed too jarring on our terrible roads!

Thanks, lol. I'm not a pirate, it's Spanish for Turtle which is my nickname. Also the name of a drug lord on Breaking Bad. That's where the similarities end, thankfully!

Thanks Guth, it certainly is a good place to be (around here) and you seem like a friendly bunch!
