Hi everybody,

lurking around this forum since time I decided to buy a CB1100. Now the bike is ordered and I hope to pick it up soon. It will be a ´14 model, "European standard" so spoke wheels, 6 speed, new instrument cluster, single exhaust and old style seat, small tank. Can´t wait for a first drive.

My motorcycling background is a´28 Indian Prince from my father´s collection, a ´29 Scout 101 with left foot clutch and left hand throttle, from more modern motorbikes I learned to ride on a ´68 Jawa, Czech two cylinder two stroke touring bike (maybe you know Jawa 350 Californian with the same engine, exported to US at time). My wildest bike was a ´05 Honda VTR Firestorm aka Superhawk, V twin.

G'day VTR1000F and welcome aboard. Good choice of bike. Good choice of forum. Hope you enjoy both.

The Firestorm is a good looking bike.

Thanks!

This is a ´36 Sport Scout with rare 4 speed option, which I had a pleasure to drive.

I´ll be definitely more active as soon as the CB surfaces in my garage..

Hey VTR1000F, welcome to the forum. What a great selection of bikes you've had. We share an interest in the VTR it was my previous bike, I thought it was a fun machine like a big trail bike but with narrow bars - very hard to keep the front wheel on the ground!! Looking forward to seeing a pic of your new CB. Here in AU we are not getting anymore CBs as they just did not sell well enough in our small market. I am keen on the spoke wheels for my CB so keep your eyes peeled for me if you see any used ones for sale. Happy riding.
