I know. I sat on it and made vroom vroom noises on April 3rd.
They have not sold it yet? They would not come off MSRP.
VIN# 886
They know me well up there. I have bought two new bikes from them in the last 16 months. The V Fam is good folks but I will wait for mine to arrive in Lake Geneva.
Hey Steve, you going to Quaker Steak next Wednesday? Me and a buddy are going. I will be either on a VTX or a CRF250L. Let me know?

this can't be good I thought
my bike has made it from Long Beach CA to Chicago IL
and there it sits in a warehouse
maybe after memorial day I will be a CB1100 owner
or maybe not
I can certainly empathize with you, last Thursday I was anxiously waiting to hear from my dealer. The bike came in Friday and I took delivery on Saturday, by Monday evening I had accumulated 300 miles. I have two other bikes so when I put down my deposit I told my dealer I am not in a hurry. As every day passed I became more and more anxious. I had to wait three weeks from placing a deposit. All I can say is hang in there because it is worth the wait. The CB1100 may look very retro but has very nimble handling, slick gearbox and a great clutch. It is truly a pleasure to ride!

I put down my deposit for the CB1100 on November 12, 2012. I received the bike on April 5, 2013. Not quite 5 months in all, but it sure felt a heck of a lot longer. It was definitely worth the wait.
The Honda CB1100: STILL air-COOLed
Deposit placed 11/12/2012.
Received delivery 04/05/2013.

Well, I got her home last night. It was storming up here so she started life as a trailer queen. I drove through two bad thunderstorms but everything was fine. My dealer was 60 miles away.
First ride was 36 miles. First impressions? smooth smooth smooth
Pipe has a nice growl if one gets on it. And I did.
The key has some red on it?
Only options so far are Honda heated grips, some used grip puppies I had laying around, and the dealer found me some of those lever rubber things. Chrome bar ends must come with the heated grips?
