RE: "Older" guys ride a CB1100
My first love was the Z1 when I was 16. Why? Because the big inline 4 projected and produced massive power for its day and it looked GREAT! But I never realized ownership of one. Practicality ruled supreme so I bought a new '76 CL360 in High School while most of my buddies drove I4's. For 40 years I waited. I actually felt the motorcycle industry had forgotten me and was trying to cram a ugly motored, V-twin or plastic covered bike down my throat! I knew what I wanted but it took until 2014 at the age of 56 to get it. That's probably why mines black.

I'm 52. Have owned 20 something bikes over the years, most of them I either blew the motor or totaled. I bought the 1100 for comfort and because I had promised my wife the next bike would be comfortable two up. She likes some cornering ability which eliminates almost every cruiser, and was a little leery of the size of modern sport touring. The CB was the only bike that really fit the bill.

"Old"? Well, I was drafted when I graduated high school.
Uncle gave me one of those all expense paid 13 month Asian vacations so I guess I am an "older" rider. I had the CB750, the Yamaha XS11 and a few dozen other Japanese & European rides before marriage and fatherhood called.
Last year when the CB came out I lost it and traded my Yamaha 1600 and sold my BMW K75 to get this thing. My hay day was back on the UJM and this pretty much fills the bill. Thumbs Up

Me too brother, TayNinh class of 1969. Bought my CB1100 at age 67.

If you would put your head in a helmet it wouldn't be empty.

NPK, Spring Break '71.
The CB was my 60th birthday present to myself.
