Marquez is more than a half second faster than 2nd place on the starting grid. Incredible! Honda has quickly renewed his contract for two more years.

Jezzalou what a race...Unbelieveable. Who would have thought it was possible?

The kid is a motorcycle racing phenom!

The old man did great!

Lorenzo and Pedrosa must be saying "What is happening?"

I can't feel a lot of sympathy for either one of them. Pedrosa's had every opportunity. He just can't win. Lorenzo was a bad winner...way too full of himself.

Marquez is a phenomenon, no doubt. The way he came through the traffic made it seem like he was in an LMP car in a GT race. Honda must have something super-trick in his bike. I'm not saying they're "cheating," but....

I think more of Rossi now than I did when he was champion. It takes guts to get out there race after race at his age, knowing what the inevitable crashes are going to feel like on his old, old bones, and still pushing hard enough to podium in spite of it.

Go hagofuku yourself.

True about Pedrosa, although I'm rooting for the little guy, and it's really important that he get every point he can in case something happens to Marquez. Strange to see him not on the podium. Glad he passed Lorenzo.

I really thought Rossi was washed up after his move to Ducati. Like you I am really happy for him. During the race I told my wife he must really, really love racing (my wife says he probably really loves the money lol) and I agreed, but Rossi has nothing to prove anymore and could retire comfortably without injury and knowing he is in the top 2 or 3 racers of all time. Can't imagine what his record would be if he hadn't wasted two years on the Italian machine. Big gamble. If he'd have won, he'd have been a super god in Italy, instead of just the god that he is.

This was a cracking good race. I can't really add anything to the sentiments that you guys have made (Ferret and Spaceman) except that you're both spot on. What more can be said about Marquez? He is THE ALIEN and a talent that rarely comes along.

+1 to Redbirds, Ferret, Spaceman.

At one point I wondered why they didn't give Marquez and Rossi 1st and 2nd and then let the others fight it out for the minor place. Once Marquez weaved his way to the front all the interest was back in the pack.
