And also doubles as wheelie bars! Excited

With the ST1300 tip over talk, wouldn't that bike on there make the handling, uhhh, iffy at best?

Three words:

Center of Gravity. Mass Centralization.

Ok, that's five words, but the point remains.

FWIW, on my high mount rear carrier setup, the bicycle only weighs about 23 pounds. That's not a lot even if it is up high. There was another question about sidewinds. I've never noticed any ill effects from sidewinds, there's just not enough side area there to matter.

I wanted that setup because after a while, when driving the car to go somewhere nice for a recreational bicycle ride it seemed like a waste of a nice day to be sitting in a car. So.. use the motorcycle and get in a nice cruise to the start point, enjoy the bicycle ride, and enjoy the cruise back home.. perfect day !

FB...those are wild looking! Hey if you enjoy bicycling .. why not?

I used to ride my CB 750 K to bowhunt, and had a rack on back to hold my bow and arrows.

I presume you were deer hunting at the time. Would love to have seen a pic of you packing one out on your bike Ferret. I have a mental picture like those I see from Asia with people carrying hogs and poultry strapped to the tank and seat of their scooters and Honda 70's (LOL). I used to carry my fishing rod on my BMW strapped to the seat and the end hanging straight off the back. A red bandanna tied to the end of the rod finished it off.

I used to carry a guitar in a hard case strapped on to the back of the seat and the luggage rack on a CB175. When it was aboard it used to push me so far forward my little goolies were jammed against the tank. The end of the guitar case still suck out over the back. I must have looked like a complete goose. Nowadays they have nifty cases that people can wear like a back pack.

I was told by the previous owner of my old 550 that he would strap a set of gulf clubs horizontally across the back of the "queen" seat on the king/queen seat. He said it was mostly on back roads, but he had to be careful to remember he was a bit wider then normal when turning close to things.
