If the front tire has 4/32 to start with, and you replace at 2/32.. you only get to use 2/32 of tread
On the rear if you start with 9/32 and you use 2/32 you still have 7/32 of tread left and the front is already shot, so it APPEARS that you are getting excessive wear on the front when you're not.
Excellent, that explains a lot. Thanks
Still rockin', rollin', and ridin' after all these years

Yep. My OEM Bridgestone BT-54 was totally bald at 6K miles. You can see why I was so impressed with the PR3.
My rear BT-54 made it to 10K miles. The current rear PR3 has 11K miles on it and still has many thousands to go.

I lent it to my brother so he could go on a "Ribber Run" with us since his new Bonnie is broken down right now. I rode my ST. 187 miles round trip for a great steak. Mmmmmmm

Replaced the original battery (which had 3 years, four months on it)

Today, I bled my brakes and clutch for the first time (12,000 miles, probably due). A simple task, but I noticed something...
When it comes time to replace the front sprocket, will I have to drain the clutch fluid before removing the assembly cover?
I'm assuming yes, but couldn't find a good description elsewhere in the forum.

No you do not. You do unbolt and move out of the way, the clutch slave cylinder. No hoses need be disconnected.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it!

Rode to breakfast this morning, only about 70 miles, but in the process the CB turned 15,000 miles. That's not a lot but it is a milestone of sorts. Let's see, it's on its second BT54 rear tire, third BT54 front tire, fourth oil change, second brake / clutch fluid fill and original chain & sprockets and steering head bearings. Not surprisingly, she runs perfectly and has been steadfast reliable and wonderfully satisfying thus far. Let's see what the next 100,000 miles brings.
Ride more. Worry less.

What did you do on, or to, your CB today?
Took a short ride for breakfast this morning. Forum member Gmike and his wife Mary, graciously invited me to their home for breakfast today. They are wonderful folks, proving once again that "You meet the nicest people on a Honda".
As a bonus, this was also my first sighting of a CB11 outside of a dealers showroom.
