RE: Installing Fork Boots aka Gaiters
I called J&P and they have no idea who manufactures the cover - they can not even read the name off the pic either. They tried to sell me a membership to their version of COSTCO first.

Is anyone able to read the name on the boot from the pic?

I blew it up REAL big, turned it over, turned it back over and I just can't tell. Sorry.

J&P should just put their eyes on a set and tell you.

I did what you did and had the same result. I was hoping someone on the forum would recognize the name - being y'all (couldn't resist) are more familiar with aftermarket companies than I. It looks like the letters A Z A V are in the picture of the boots.

You would think - Most are just call centers that have no idea about the products they sell.

Rbike,

I googled Fork Boots and looked at the pics. I found a set that matches what J&P has but situated slightly differently. The brand is Kajima and the letters and all seem to match up.

Here is a link to the Webike address the pic had and you can decide for yourself. http://japan.webike.net/products/2027440.html

Kajima was my first thought initially, but I just couldn't be sure...

Kijima, not Kajiima, Yeah, I know that system, I wouldn't use that, I done some research on that Eazy-On system, they get open after a while and look dirty as heck.

Best using traditional fork gaiters!

Do the kawi gaiters fit over the top of the fork lowers? I have a superbrace that is installed at the top of the fork lowers.

Yes they do Jeff so the gaiters won't work for you.

How To install Fork Boots aka Gaiters
Thanks Micky! Rainy day here and spent an hour following your excellent "how to" and installed the Suzuki Gators on my standard CB. It went perfectly and they look great! İmage

I really appreciate all you do here buddy.

RE: How To install Fork Boots aka Gaiters
I see that Partzilla has the Kawasaki gaiters (49006-1335) for $41.92 each. That is the least expensive I have seen. I bought the big, fat, ugly Harley gaiters last year because they would fit and were cheap. I may just take them off and install the Kawa gaiters. They look so much better.

UPDATE: Just ordered a pair from Partzilla. Total with shipping was $93.79.

2014 Standard, PS2 Shield, Corbin seat, luggage rack, Givi tail box.
