RE: Wiring a gps
There are 2 accessory connectors. One in the headlight shell and the other is back by the battery. So far, there are no known Honda options that use them. The Honda grips don't use either connector.

The connector is fused, 10amps. and switched by the ignition switch.

Connector halves, pins, and a crimping tool can be purchased in a few places that sell Sumitomo connectors. I got mine here: http://www.cycleterminal.com/hm-sealed-series-090.html

It is easier and cheaper to do what Cormanus did which is to cut the connector off and splice onto the wires. Green is ground. Always check with a meter or trouble light though. There have been a few factory wiring errors reported.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it!

Thanks Popgun! I think I'll cut the connector off. Just one question that when you guys install the heated grip, do you use grip glue?

On my ST1300 I used Pro Honda handgrip cement. I got it at the dealer. Aftermarket brands are available too.

I don't have heated grips on the CB.

Nice find with an under seat connector. Did you find the same in the headlight? Usually bikes have a fused power supply at the headlight, I wonder if CB1100rs also has it.

Yes, there is an accessory connector in the headlight shell. I’m pretty sure the RS has one too, but I don’t have a wiring diagram to verify though.

Be careful, Honda usually use white connectors for accessories and red connectors for internal service needs. I suspect it’s a service port to flash HISS.

Does anyone has a service manual to check?

Mrded, on the, at least, 2010-2016 models the 2 pin red connectors are switched 12v accessory connectors. They are shown on the wiring diagram. They are also located in places that are difficult to access for general service needs. The service port connector (DLC) is located behind the left side cover and has 4 pins. I have a GI-Pro gearshift indicator connected to my DLC connector.

We don’t have HISS in the US so I can’t speak to that.

I’m not as sure. Will try to get a service manual to confirm that.

There are/ may be differences between countries. One of our members in Moscow did not have the accessory connector in the boot under the seat, so there can be differences.

RE: Wiring a gps
I just wired a Zumo last weekend. I searched for that unused plug under the seat but never found it. I had already cut off the one in the headlight bucket and used it for my usb ports so I decided to get creative. I wired in a 12v relay under the seat to connect the gps to and ran the trigger wire up to that connection in the headlight bucket. The relay tucks in nicely behind the storage bucket under the seat.
