Was that because of the price point ?
It is Honda quality and I am very happy to pay for that !

They rated the Griso higher at 7 points, which according to their commentary, includes the features: "utterly numb, single plate clutch", "a lean spot at 3,500 rpm", and "steering is slow initially, but as soon as the bike begins to take up some lean angle, it tends to fall in. Apply some corrective steering or get hard on the throttle and it all works out, but you will change your riding style slightly for the Griso". Not exactly full-throated praise.

That, coupled with the incredible fact that Motorcycle.com rated that ludicrous NM4 higher than the CB, my takeaway is that these numerical ratings must be very subjective, and therefore just about useless. I say buy what suits you, enjoy it, and be happy. Big Grin

THIS IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

don't really care how they compare the CB against the rest. Happy with mine.

I know how good of a motorcycle the CB 1100 is, but if Someone trying to decide may see that low number and write it off without giving it a chance. What a shame.

They scored it below the Bonnie and Griso and equal to the kick start, 29 hp, single disc, spoked wheel SR400 for Petes sake. It boggles my mind.

I've owned the Bonnie, good bike but not even in the same league with the CB.

Price point! The SR400 is overpriced at $6000. The CB1100 is a bargain.

Same here redbirds, my T100 Bonnie was a nice bike, but it's not even in the same zip code as a CB 1100

It said honda on the side of it, and that was good enough for me.

Seems to me most of the people around this forum anyway are likely to try a bike they're interested in no matter what the reviewers say. I'm sure that goes for lots of other riders of other types of bikes too. On that basis, I'm not sure quite how much influence these guys are likely to have on really serious motorcyclists. The lesson from this forum and all the reviews and the responses to them is that motorcycles are intensely subjective and, if you like the look (or sound) of one you should try it. It it suits you and you want it, buy it and be damned to what anyone else says or thinks.

The only thing I can think of that would be likely to influence me would be extensive reports of significant unreliability.
