1st service completed
I completed my 1st scheduled service on the CB last night. Changing the oil and filter on this bike is a breeze. The bike is now happy once again and ready to roll until the next scheduled service.

If anyone here has not maintained their own bikes, but are contemplating doing so, the first servicing is very non-intimidating. Ferret has put together a great write-up, complete with a plethora of photos, over in the "How To" section. I just went by the factory service manual, but I did take a look at ferret's write-up afterwards to see if there was anything I might have missed.

RE: 1st service completed
In the past I did almost all of my 900 Ninja service, even valve adjustments,
But I do believe sometimes its best to let the dealer do their first official service to give the bike their blessing and make sure warranty is still in tact.
Our dealer charges $144 plus parts, I figured it in to the price when I bought it.
Worst part is dropping it off and having wife pick me up, twice.

I do plan on switching to the Honda full synthetic at first service( 600 miles)
And shortly after do a few red line shifts :-)

RE: 1st service completed
I purchased my oil and filter from my dealer and kept the receipt for my records. I doubt that I'll need the warranty, but should it come up I have faith that Honda will do right by me. I just need to start racking up more miles on my bike to truly take advantage of that one year umbrella.
