Reminds me of the story about the British Airways pilot being ragged on by ground control, at Berlin airport, when he got some directions wrong. Controller supposedly asks him sarcastically if he has "ever been here before". The pilot responds "A couple of times in the early 40's, but I didn't land!"

I feel a lot more like I do now than I did when I got here.

I'm considering selling one of my kidneys to get one of these. In Europe, it's quite difficult to get affordable aftermarket parts since it is quite an uncommon bike. So we have to order in Japan and the shipping rates+ custom taxes are really expensive.
Normandy is a nice place to ride, whenever the weather makes it possible (rarely to be honest!). I envy you, you can ride throughout the year, on nice dry roads!

Welcome to the forum Darcho! I used to love the Devil exaust's on the bol d' or replica Honda's. Is Devil still in business?

I think so, slowvet, but I think they just do car exhausts now. But it's not uncommon to find their exhausts on 80's/90's second hand bikes.

Welcome Darcho! You found a great place to hang out when not riding this great machine! I'd love to visit Normandy some day... it's definitely on my list of places to see. My family hails from Alsace Lorraine... but we don't have a good timeline on when our ancestors left so we're either German or French... not sure. Please post pics of your bike showing the area... I'm sure we'd all love to see both!

ahah this timeline could indeed make a great difference ride4now! Well if you're in the neighborhood someday, you'll be very welcome to stop by. I've been waiting for weeks to post pics but the weather has been mostly rainy. I can't remember a winter when I rode this few, actually. Very frustrating.
