Tie down points for trailering
Hi all, I'am to transport my cb on a trailer 350 miles , going to use a front wheel chock. I have done this often with my Road King ,but any tips on tie down points for the cb ? Thanks.

I would use some soft loops around the triple and the same thing on back. On back I have used the Honda rack for a tie down point. Don't compress the front forks much.

Thanks ,I have to travel 350 miles to get the bike, don't have it here to look at. Didn't want to screw up at the dealer, bought it a month ago from across the state.

I use Cycle Cynch, there is no need to compress the front end. Support the back at the L & R step holders.

I'd be interested in pics as well. I will be trailering in the near future and have never have tied down a bike.

These work great, I have transported my ST1300 with these several time without a wheel chock.

Cycle Cynch

Gray nylon cups go over your grips and tighten down on the black strap, then use the orange straps to your tie down points, no need to compress the front end just tighten as much as the straps allow you too. Support your rear stays to your tie down point and your all set.

When my ST1300 was delivered 40+ miles they didn't have the rear supported, the Cylce Cynch held the bike in place ( I would not be comfortable though)

I took the CB1100 on an overnight ferry trip across Bass Strait. It's between mainland Australia and the island state of Tasmania. It's a notoriously unpleasant stretch of water. The CB1100 was on the side stand, in first gear and was secured only at the front with a Cycle Cynch (or something identical). It compressed the forks a little, but it wasn't going anywhere.

Tie down points for trailering
Obleo, I recently trailered my CB 500 miles from Fl to Ga. Here's some pictures. I use 4 tie down points... the front pulling the bike forward into the chock with 2 straps ( one on each side) affixed down near the front axel. I stabilize the bike with 2 straps as well gently pulling on the handlebars. There's no reason to compress the front end...as long as the bike is upright, the weight it generates from side to side is not a lot. See this shot...

Then I use 2 straps pulling the bike towards the rear. These are affixed near the upper shock bolt. I then use 2 straps to stabilize the rear wheel to keep it from sliding side to side. I do both sides to the same wheel 'spoke' to keep it even.

İmage

Use a high quality ratchet system along with strap protectors (and put the bike in gear) and you'll be good to go.
