Official Now - Denver
Hey all, I posted on here a few days ago, thinking of buying a CB1100. Today, I purchased a 2013, for a song at that, only 526 miles! They are going to deliver her tomorrow. The dealership is only 25 miles away, and delivery is free - does anyone know if you tip the MC deliver guys? If so, how much? Anyway, glad to have lost my Honda virginity and can't wait until the temp pics up next week in Denver so I can driver her. Thanks for the advice y'all have been giving me on after market parts, much appreciated.

I always hand the delivery men a $20 and tell them thanks and that lunch is on me. Tuesday I took lunch down to the mechanics that serviced my ST last week. Karma

I used to spend a lot of time at court houses, register of deeds offices, and other goverment agencies asking for folks to retrieve files, make copies, and all sorts of things they dont want to have to fool with. I always tried to either send an email or note to the supervisor about what a good employee xyz is or buy lunch for those that really helped me. One girl actually got a promotion and thanked me later. Thumbs Up

I never thought of buying lunch for the service people but that is a dang good idea. I was amazed how much better people were to work with after doing something as simple as buying them lunch.

People appreciate being appreciated. My dad retired to, a small town, took the post office people, the bank staff and the drug store staff orchids as he was an orchid grower. They loved him and would treat him like a king when he came in. Most people forget to treat people in these busy days.

I think many of us can relate.

Speaking of relations. I'm within five years of full retirement, as apposed to half azz retirement, and moving somewhere I can ride all year, is cheap to live and is away from my relations. Any ideas anyone? Like Tampa?

Looks great Light! I hope you asked the dealer if he did the 600 mile service.
Good luck and don't forget to post on the registry .
