Yes, so sad indeed. Enjoyed his posts and the kidding he took for being so prolific without actually owning a CB1100 before he bought one. So enthusiastic about his CB and about this forum.

I know a heart attack can come out of nowhere, but I kind of surmise he's a victim of this brutal winter. Be careful shoveling everyone. Suck it up and admit it when you need help and pay some young kid to do the shoveling while you enjoy a hot chocolate from inside your living room.

Sad to hear this, I had a couple of PMs with Eric when he was buying his Nighthawk 750 in 2013. We talked about tire choices etc..
He was always very thankful for the advise,

He will be missed.

Very sad news. Sorry to hear. I enjoyed reading his posts. I wish I could have ridden with him and sat around talking about bikes.

Been thinking about this since I got the news this morning. Since Eric unfortunately won't be joining us at the rally which he had planned to attend, I think we should declare Sat May 30 th "OldF7Guy Day" at the rally and dedicate our Saturday's rides in his honor.

There isn't much I can add to what has already been said.
My best wishes to his family and friends.

I saw his '13 for sale and was considering it and know he wanted a DLX. Sad news. RIP Eric.

I was wondering why Ferret had a 'RIP oldf7guy' on his signature line. I even went back through some of his posts to see if anything was wrong. Then I noticed this announcement from Guth. Very sad... I too send along my condolences to his family. Ride on oldf7guy and RIP.

Rest in peace Eric, you will be missed. I agree with my fellow cb forum members about not knowing what the next day will bring.Ido not want my headstone to read (He should haved worked more). But instead loved his family and riding his bikes.
