Loss of a forum member
So hard to read this. RIP Eric. Condolences to family and friends. I agree with the memorial part of the rally.
Heart scans recommended to all. It's a $100 MRI-type test that scans for heart calcification and can find other stuff too.
Hearing news like this always gives you pause - and a renewed perspective.

It's always sad to learn of the loss of someone like this. My condolences to his family. He was a valued part of the forum and will most definitely be missed.

My sincerest, deepest sympathies to Eric's family and friends. It's my hope that they will see this outpouring of affection from us, most of whom have never met him, but have come to know him to some extent through his words and our shared passion for motorcycles. The respect we have for him, the appreciation we have for having shared this world with him, hopefully speaks volumes as to the man he was. He will be missed dearly. May you rest in peace my brother.

Very sad. RIP..... I find my kids (in their 30's) trying to get me to do more family things. I'll have to make more of an effort to be more accommodating!

RE: Loss of a forum member
I got the chance to meet him last September at Kentucky Kickdown, caught him royally checking out my bike, literally almost drooling all over it, loved and raved about my cb 500 mirrors, didn't take me long to figure out who he was, it was a matter of no time when he finally bought his bike, now in hindsight I'm glad he got the chance to ride and own one, I wish he could have been able to ride a full season on it, RIP........

I read this thread with a lump in my throat. I'm glad someone contacted Guth so we are not wondering what happened to Erik. If his family reads this post me deepest condolence go out to you.

Eric's posts were always lively and full of open enthusiasm for riding & getting his CB1100...I began watching for his regular writings & exchanges... and it was clear to me that he enjoyed the conversations and would be a really nice guy to meet & gab some with him... thanks, Eric, for giving me pleasure in knowing you some through this forum... may your family find comforting peace in their memories of you.

silverbub, your post has to be one of the most eloquent statements regarding the passing of Eric. There have been many times, and especially now, that I wish I had the ability to express and type just how I feel...... very McKuen-esque.
So glad you are a member of this little but enthusiastic community.
When in doubt, GAS IT!!!!
