RE: PHOTOBUCKET DILEMMA
Thanks popgun, they come with a cool little capture program I've been using for years called Snagit...I've tried other screen capture programs but this one works best for me.

Wow! That is cool. We used to have SnagIt on our work computers, but the .gov took it away. Didn't know it had that bubble feature.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it!

RE: PHOTOBUCKET DILEMMA
I use them alot, I think they are called "callouts", at least that is what Word and Snagit calls them.
They are located under the drawing menu in the Snagit Editor....funny I had to get One Note to capture this tool bar...seems Snagit doesn't like to take a picture of itself ;-)

İmage

Here are all the possible options:

İmage

I use them for almost every online transaction to capture the image, make notes on user names, passwords, etc, then store that picture before it disappears because you never know what screen comes next....some give the option to print a full invoice etc, some just say thank you ;-)

Mine is version 9.1.0 (Build 206) Nov 6 2008

I think I paid like $20 or $30 for it, but it's paid for itself several times.

RE: PHOTOBUCKET DILEMMA
I have a photobucket question as well. When I want to view a forum photo posted via photobucket in higher resolution, there's the "click photo to enlarge" message when I hover over the pic. Always when I click on it, I first get the photobucket window (like the ones shown by CIP57 and offroad) in this thread with the address beginning with "s" like s###.photobucket.com. Unfortunately, It is the same size and resolution as the forum pic! But, if I immediately exit (X out of) that photobucket window and hit the same forum photo again, I get the larger photo at higher resolution (1024 x ___) with an "i" address such as i###.photobucket.com. That's the image I wanted in the first place, and it does not have all the photobucket side bar text, etc.

Weird.

I use a Chromebook and photobucket. I am usually always logged into photobucket. I don't mind the little work around personally to be able to see higher resolutions. But is my experience representative?

RE: PHOTOBUCKET DILEMMA
Hmm never tried that to make it bigger, just gave up when it came up the same size. Will have to give that a try

RE: PHOTOBUCKET DILEMMA
Bob, that's interesting. I can't replicate the behaviour, but I think Photobucket has made a system change somewhere so that, no matter what you click on, the link redirects to the "s" address. I always post links to the "i" address, but when I click on them from the forum I see a new tab open, the "i" address appears briefly in the address bar and is then replaced by the "s" address. If you click on the link to one of offroadfx4's pictures in this thread, you'll see the same thing happen.

Even if you copy the link to the "i" address and paste it into your address bar, it will redirect you to the "s" page. Try this link to offroad's picture, http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a491...lwqud.png.

Edit: I can't' even display the "i" address pages of my own photos when I'm logged into Photobucket. It's very odd.

Cormanus,

I have also noted the immediate redirection from "i" to "s" every time I perform my "trick" to enlarge a photo from photobook. It might be my Chromebook doing this, but the photobucket image comes up in a new window which overlies the forum window. I "x out" of that new photobucket window (hitting X at the top right) and immediately click on the forum picture, just like I did the first time!. On try number 2, photobucket does not redirect and I get the larger, higher resolution "i" photo in the new window.
