Trip to northern Michigan
Just on my first trip with the bike of any distance.

Finding the seat a bit rough on the back side, but stops every 100 miles seem to take care of it. İmage

I stiffened the suspension and like the ride better. İmageİmage

what are some roads or towns you plan on hitting?
where is the rest of your gear:-)
Maybe try bicycle riding pants under your jeans, good quality ones.

Are you talking upper/lower Mich or the UP?

Over on the south side of lower Mich there is a road below Traverse City called the" Tunnel of Trees". Officially M119. Pretty famous bit of road. It's only about 30 miles long, but if you are in the area you should try and ride it.

Above Traverse City. And M22 is a lot of fun, too; if you are in the upper-lower peninsula.

Nice looking bike. If you don't want to change the seat try an Airhawk.

Which model from air hawk?

Gosh I don't want to read all the seat threads. What's the best seat for long riding comfort?

I'm pretty sure it's this AirHawk Cushion.

As to reading all the seat threads, you may find that different people have different views about what's best. I know it's unthinkable, but there are some who claim to like the stock seat.

A number of members have opted for a Corbin seat and one member—Chip Beck—modified a Corbin Seat and swears by it. See here.

Trip to northern Michigan
Made the 300mi trip back Sunday. Was horrible. Seat absolutely killed me. I was so frustrated last 100mi. That's not the way to ride.

I think other than the seat the knee position for long extended periods is hard as well. I think a new seat and some highway pegs (recommendation?) will make all the difference.

Until then gonna stay around town. Took three days for legs and butt to recover. Lol. No joke.

I have a big air hawk for my Harley, but I just bought a Royal Seating pad for my CB. It has gel and memory foam. Bought the pinion size, fits perfect on the CB !
