Nice ride to lunch in the Shenandoah Valley
Met Earsonwheels early on Friday morning and rode out to Harrisonburg, VA for lunch with a moderately rowdy bunch of ADVRider types. Good time was had. The stock seat was good for about three hours, then it was not so much. On a seven hour ride, that's a lot of uncomfortable hours. A short stop now and again was a big help. Especially when there was ice cream Clap Bikes performed as expected, and the sweet curves of Rt. 622 were especially good fun.
Forgot to take any photos, so I guess it never happened.

Sounded good anyway.

Glad you guys had a good ride. I would think after 3 hours you'd be ready to get gas anyway. A chance to get off and walk around a bit, go to potty etc.

RE: Nice ride to lunch in the Shenandoah Valley
Today me and BMW Chuck knocked out 225 miles, the CB was a charm like always. The ride to Wilmington NC was really nice, some slab and some country back roads, the Honda dealer in Wilmington has a 1979 silver CBX with the factory 2 miles that it had right out the crate 36 years ago. I first saw it on the showroom floor 10 years ago and there it still sits, the owner said people have been trying to buy it for the last 36 years but NO WAY!Thumbs Up

Have you taken it down Skyline Drive yet? I used to take the 3 hour ride down a few times each year, to bike and hike.
One day I may trailer my CB down for the weekend and do a few runs up and down it.....can't see me riding the 3 hour turnpike down anymore, CB or not...

The Skyline is pretty, but the speed limit is 35 and it's a speed trap...I could show you hundreds of miles of nice twisties in that area with gorgeous vistas, good food and nice places to camp. Hummm..."The First Anuual Shenandoha Valley CB1100 Rally", that has a nice ring to it!

Oh man that CBX is gorgeous. Smoothest engine I've ever had the pleasure of riding, yes I've yet to ride a GW.

That CBX is awesome!

I'd be in for a Shennandoah CB rally!
