Not only does it have 13 more horsepower than those, but I also trust the CB's modern SAE corrected dyno numbers than anything manufacturers put out back then. Most Japanese bikes back then were pretty optimistic in terms of horsepower rating.

Okay, okay. Like I said, I never had one.

Budget didn't allow it. But they were remembered as FAST!!

You'll find this same discussion on the CBR250R forum. "It only cost me $3400 in engine mods and now my bike pulls 29 hp on the dyno!" It's almost comical. Good money after bad?

The most satisfying bike I've ever owned, even more than my CB11, was my 400 lb., 39 hp Moto Guzzi V7 Classic.

Ride more. Worry less. Tongue

Im new to the forum and at the risk of my first post being negative. I don't remember the guy asking what everyone thought about people uninterested in perfomance modification what they thought about performance modification. I for one am all for it. Its a fast bike but you can certainly tell it's held back just as every stock bike is. I like power. i also like beauty and comfort. That's why i chose this bike. I say intake, exhaust, remap and sprocket down front is in order just like every stock bike needs IMO>. That said honda did nail this things looks. I have always wanted to rip off stock tail lights but i can't do it to this one it's so nice.

So, 0-60 in 3.3 is considered slow nowadays? Not to me at least. The CB is not the bike for the power hungry but I must say it is quit deceptively quick. My other bike (Aprilia Tuono V4R) has twice the HP of my CB but it's only fun to ride on open roads/canyons and tracks. Not so for the CB, this bike is fun even if you're just pushing the motor through it's midrange. Great torque delivery and torque curve.

Apparently so when Tesla makes an electric car that will do 0-60 in under 3 seconds.
