Really love the wire spokes, agree with the notion that it looks more classic.

Gentlemen,

The strangest thing on the yellow bike is the fuel tank without the pressed seam running along the bottom edge. HD never had that flat pressed seam and I didn't like it on Hondas but I've looked at it for so long that now the bike looks odd without it.

I missed those missing seams from the photos. Good catch.

Actually, from a manufacturing standpoint...a seamless gas tank, or one with the seams in a safer location, would probably represent some sort of breakthrough or new standard. But from a user's standpoint...meh.

I found a use for that seam line on my own...I have clips to anchor my GPS powercord from the seat, to the frame head where it comes up to plug into the unit. Those adhesive neprene rubber hangers stuck on the flat seam area perfectly.

I didn't want to take the tank off to run the power cord; and now I don't have to have the power cord in all the time - to wear and pick up dirt.

JPT, should you ever change your mind about running the cable—and there's no reason you should—you simply need to undo the fastening bold at the back, lift the tank slightly and the cable can be popped above the heat shield. There's no need to take the tank right off.

Gentlemen,

On the yellow bike Honda has incorporated a lot of changes that I made on my CB11.

1. Smaller taillight
2. Smaller turn signals
3. Smaller license plate bracket
4. Lower handlebars
5. Lower oblong mirrors
6. Smaller mufflers
7. Left side bright aluminum trans cover
8. Bright chrome headers and they hid the catalytic converter

One thing I don't like on the yellow bike is the new rear peg brackets. Not nearly as pretty as those on the 2013 CB11's.

IMO I still prefer the DLX from 2014 however I am a little biased. I think the silver brake calipers on the yellow bike look good and lighten the overall appearance of the front end. They would look good on a DLX.

I would have to agree. I am VERY biased but I think the DLX is better looking also. I do want to see the continuation of the bike though and that is a good thing.

RE: It seems the CB will continue
I'm not going to hold my breath, knowing full well how Honda quickly "orphans" a model in a market where a particular bike isn't meeting sales expectations. So, I don't think there's going to be a 2016 CB1100.

I have a 1994 CB1000F which is a good example of that marketing strategy. A big, handsome machine with a dominating presence that did not sell. The yellow CB concept bike reminds me a lot of that older CB, especially looking at the shape of the tank. I'd buy it, but only with the spoked wheels.

I already saw the pics and video. Looks production ready from my observations, and it would be great to have it return to the North American market in this updated guise. But I just bought my third CB1100 just a few days ago, and got a smokin' deal on it, so I'm happy..... for now.
