Excellent review on RideApart.com
Wes Siler gives a good long term(one month)review of the ABS model.

Seems to really understand the bike and feels it fares well against similar retros.

RE: Excellent review on RideApart.com
Thanks for posting the link. That was a great review. I really appreciated the examples of how the bike was actually used while in his possession. I agreed with pretty much everything he said. One notable exception: he indicated that there wasn't enough room on the CB1100 to store a basic toolkit, which hasn't proven true for me. I've found that there is more than enough room in the storage space below the seat / above the battery for some basic tools along with a cargo net and a front disk lock.

All in all, one of the better real world reviews that I've read in a while.

The Honda CB1100: STILL air-COOLed
Deposit placed 11/12/2012.
Received delivery 04/05/2013.

That would be because he didn't realize the seat came up... Blush Your point was brought up in the comment section, and he mentioned that he had no idea that the seat could be taken off, or how.

RTFM.

BTW: Three people have asked me: "what year is that?" thinking its a restoration. I love their confused look when I say "2013."

Go hagofuku yourself.

My first thought as well, until I thought about it for a second longer.

You have to take the seat off to get to the manual. Big Grin

I had to call the dealer to figure out how to get under the seat to get at my manual.
The sales guy didn't know and had to call the service guys, they had to call Honda the first time.
The seat latch is pretty well hidden. Undecided

Reminds me of the VCR that used to come with hookup instructions...on a videocassette.

RE: Excellent review on RideApart.com
Re-read this again this weekend and I re-agree with Siler's observations.

"Wes absolutely adores this bike, choosing to ride it over most everything else we had while it was at the RideApart office."
