This guy used to work for Competition Accessories but has since moved on, career wise.
I was a big fan of his weekly ride series - he'd pick a bike from a local bike reseller and do neat reviews. I enjoyed all his videos, and he was a really likeable fella.
Anyway... his friend bought a new CB1100 and decided to let Reuben give it a ride... this is that video.
Hope you enjoy...

I did like the sound of that bike with the Two Brothers slip on.
Rueben led me to this dude winding out an EX in a tunnel in Korea (probably) to hit the 180 kph speed limiter. Interesting that the revs stayed so low. He's doing 100 mph at about 4500 RPM and he sits there for a bit before he finally winds it out. Makes you wonder how it would go at 8,000 RPM in 6th gear.

I watched that as well...and noted the same thing-pretty interesting how low the revs stayed.

For those of you that have hit the speed limiter, is that what it sounds like? Kind of garbled, then cuts out, then comes back in again when speed drops?

In the video, the rider draws the throttle back after a short while. Otherwise it would just keep constant speed stuttering.
You don't want to keep it at that speed as it does not sound very healthy.

It feels and sounds like a soft rev limiter, except slowed down. It's kinda funny in that the bike can hit it hard enough that it makes you wonder "hey, why did it stop?" until you look down at the gauges.
