There are a few places that specialize in NOS vintage honda parts. David Silver Spares in PA with its main warehouse in the UK and CMNSL.COM in Holland. There are a few others and eBay.

Thanks quietguy.
I better go back to discussing the CB1100 before I get thrown out. One more picture first. Here is the tank with fresh paint and re-chromed side panels. Now if I can find a CB1100 in upstate NY I'll be all set. I think the two bikes would compliment each other.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your search for a DLX. I love your CB450! Had one back in the early 70's and sold it for a 75 CB550 four.

I have a 2013 CB1100 and have been making changes that favor the DLX look, so if you can't find a good DLX, make one. :-)

Here is my 2013, less the red side covers which are on their way from Japan:

Are you happy with the 5 speed? I was thinking the same thing at first. I like the dual exhaust on the dlx or even more the 4 into 4 I've seen online.

Mike,

Like others here on the forum, I changed my front chain sprocket to a 19T cog which lowered the RPMs enough to make the five speed perfect. I also converted my exhaust into a four into two system, which is detailed in this post link.

There are also several nice four into four aftermarket systems out there, so you have lots of options to make any model just what you want it to be.

Mike

Those of us interested in the CB450 would love to see more of it as work progresses. Luckily our Glorious Leader has provided the 'Other Bikes' section of the Forum.

Welcome to the forum! I love the look of that CB450, what an awesome bike.

As far as the CB1100 DLX is concerned, well you know what they say about hindsight and all that. There will be other opportunities down the road. In the meantime that 450 should certainly keep you well occupied. As Cormanus mentioned, we do have a section for Other Bikes here on the forum and many of us would love to learn more about your project.

Great, I will start a post over there. I have a lot of pictures that l can share detailing the project. And thanks for opening my mind up to getting a 13 and making it my own.

Welcome.
Nice work on the CB450, brings back lots of fond memories. Keep it.
Keep shopping for the new CB1100 you want, from the price you posted I think a fly n ride is a realistic option.

Mike 546. Welcome to the forum.
Best of luck with your search and the project. I have a 1968 CL450 which I built from a rusty wreck and also a CB1100DLX. Both are great bikes but the 68 has got to go now as I am not riding her enough.
