RE: Your Dream Bike
Here in the UK we get a wide range of motorcycle magazines and an excellent weekly in the form of Motorcycle News but none of them come near to the quality of your Cycle World. The articles are technical without being boring, the musings hit the spot perfectly and everything is presented with style and quality.

Leanings, Leanings 2, and Leanings 3 ...I have them all. Great writer for those of a certain age group that can relate to his musings about old stuff.

RE: Your Dream Bike
Peter Egan was always the best reason to subscribe to Cycle World. I really miss his monthly column but he does at least still offer his entertaining stories at times. He and Clement Salvadori of Rider magazine are a treat to read anytime.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

I also have Clement's book although it is not nearly as entertaining as Egans, and he needs to lose that stupid beret IMO

I've just ordered one of Egan's books on the strength of this thread but made the mistake of ordering from USA instead of UK as it was cheaper. The mistake is that it is coming from New York and I doubt if anyone will be at work for the next week.Angry

Paul if you are old enough to remember old English and American stuff, when Japanese motorcycles werre just beginning to come into the consciousness of the world you will enjoy his stuff immensely. Egan is in his late 60's in age (68 I think) so he wrote mostly about the 60's to late 80's. Very folksy writer with a wry sense of humor.
