Anyone have a lead on a Honda rear rack?
I placed an order with my local dealer a while ago but it's still back ordered. A couple weeks ago I was told it would ship from Honda on the 15th. Now they are telling me the 26th. I wouldn't be surprised if that date slips. I'm going on a trip in August and really need to get my bike setup before then. Anyone know of any dealers or online merchants that might have one in stock?

you could do what I did and buy a 70s CB750 rack. It'll fit with just a little work. Any cycle shop that works on old machines will have them and they are on Ebay.

I ordered mine from the dealer when I bought the bike June 1st....it took about 5-6 weeks. If you've waited less time than that... I'd give it a bit more time.

I ordered my factory Honda rear rack from webike.net in Japan and had it on my doorstep in 10 days.

This sounds like the best bet. I've been wanting to order moriwaki sliders anyway. Might as well consolidate the order.

When you order from webike.net shipping is free if you order 50,000 yen (about $500) worth of stuff and below that the shipping is expensive so consolidating your order is a wise move. The last time I ordered from them I wanted $410 worth of stuff and with shipping the total was about $505. So I added some handlebars and a bunch of oil filters to bring my total to $501 and then the shipping was free so by adding $90 worth of stuff my total cost went down by $4.

You may want to try Partzilla.com, it wasn't a stock item but they had one to me via special order in a matter of days, the cost $228.00 and $20.00 for shipping (shipping is free on orders over $250.00). I believe the part number for the Rear Carrier is 08L70-MGC-A20.
