bar end removal
So far from what I read on Chip Beck's handle bar thread, to remove the entire bar end weight assembly as a unit you have to depress the two spring steel tabs at the same time and the unit should all slide out. Is that correct?

Correct. You will need to remove (or possibly pull back) the grips in order to expose the two holes as well.

I figured out how to remove the stock long internal bar end damper by depressing those 2 clips first AFTER I replaced handlebars with aluminum enduro style wider/ taller bars and installed extra heavy weight Hudson Valley Motorsports parts bar ends and the bike is waaaayyy too smoooth now ..

bar end removal
Hey, I just removed internal cartridges and it’s actually a very simple job. You just need to press two pins and pull a cartridge.
