indeed, it seems they will be using the tank of the yellow concept model

dunno, but at this moment I prefer the 2014- shape tank

Future pics when it gets released will give a better view I hope

Don't forget that if it come here it will meet DOT regs and have bigger turn signals, reflectors all over and an ugly tail light Tongue

If you come to a fork in the road, take it!

While it will appeal to many, if I had seen that bike on the showroom floor I would not have felt the same urge to buy that any of the actual production models have done. As a previous poster commented it is a bit 9T-ish. Look at it with interest, yes, but want to buy, no.

Cheers

I think it's trying too hard to be something it's not... Personally I prefer the the existing model.

Although, if a new model does come out, hopefully Honda will increase the range of available accessories. They just have to look at what triumph is doing with the bonneville. Or, on a smaller scale, look at Yamaha's xsr lineup...

I think that may be what they are trying for. That bike may not ever make it to the US, but in its home market, mimicking a Triumph may help it sell more. Then again, i may be a concept that never sees the light of day.

I'm still waiting for a CB1300, that would suit me just fine as I strip off all its plastic and fairings.

completely agree with you...no comparison w/ the original IMHO...as to instant appeal and desire to "buy". interesting bike tho.

Whether individuals like this iteration or not, Honda needs tondo something to broaden and freshen the range. One- off models, new colors, accessories can help keep the CB alive. Heck, maybe even an advertisement somewhere!

No more CB, but a GB.
Triumphs and Ducatis.
A Norton, MV, and Morini 175.
Probably others.

And I'm not unhappy about that. Some accessories need to be available, and preferably from the parts counter. An OEM rack for the CB, for instance. Not attaching it to the standard bike makes sense; not everyone wants or needs a rack, and it keeps the basic model price down. Luggage and other touring accessories, and performance or racing bits for sports bikes, should be available from the maker. "Modding", or "farkling", to me needs that element of originality and individuality. Hunting down different items from boutique manufacturers or alternate sources, forum sponsor Samurider for example, is part of the fun. The ultimate expression of this is manufacturing your own bits, as some on this forum have done. But some notable manufacturers have produced a model at a reasonable price and then proclaimed, loudly and proudly, "this motorcycle is a blank canvas, come to our parts counter and make it your very own". "Anyone (with a wallet and credit card - left unsaid) can individualise this bike by taking the trouble to drop by their dealer". Modding? I'm not so sure. Feels like clever marketing to me. Honda, please don't do that to the CB.

Cheers
