"Gathering of Norton's" Yesterday
I'm sitting on my commuter bus traveling into NYC this morning as I write this, comforted by thoughts of yesterday's adventure. I rode 146 miles (round trip) from my North Jersey home to Washington's Crossing (yes, that one) Pennsylvania for the annual "Gathering of Norton's". What a day...blue-bird sky and temps that reached into the 70's (a treat for this time of year). There must have been 50 or more Norton's there, but more important than the Norton's (which to be candid, I never liked all that much) there must've been over 1,000 bikes and bikers of every description! Thanks to Capo, who mentioned this event to me (in a post). I looked for Capo by looking for his CB but couldn't find him or any other CB's. I kinda liked that among 1,000+ bikes, there wasn't a single CB beside mine, it made me feel kinda special. I did get several compliments on it. Based on the reception I get on my bike, and the fact that everyone seems very impressed, I can only conclude that Honda should have done more to promote this bike. Anyway, all that matters is that I'm really happy with mine. It was a great day, so I thought I'd share!

Good on you, Glen. Glad you're enjoying the bike.

I suspect Capo was trying out his Thruxton. Smile

Bummer, missed you! We were there early, I was smack across from the t-shirt vendor with the Thrux. What a day! I'm a member of the DVNR, and would bring my Norton, but prefer to treat the day as a full day of riding rather than wrenching and kidney shaking.

Sorry we didn't connect, I didn't check he forum yesterday... ping me for my cell number, you'll like connecting with my riding group.

As for pictures, see my other thread, or geek out here: http://s1189.photobucket.com/user/BillBr...t=2&page=1

No more CB, but a GB.
Triumphs and Ducatis.
A Norton, MV, and Morini 175.
Probably others.
