The one warning I would give, is to watch very carefully for those tiny rubber o-rings that seal screw holes in the cam cover! They can get lost, dropped, bumped off, etc. Easy to miss if you're not paying attention to them, no big deal as long as you are.
Absolutely, I was very careful and I still thought I'd lost one. But it had stuck to the cam cover. I think I used some grease to keep them in place on reassembly.

It is a little bit of a trick to get that cam cover out, I took some images of exactly what position it was in to reinstall it, I might try to dig those up. I documented everything pretty closely.

Agreed, Ulve. The cam cover is a fairly big piece and navigating in or out of it the frame takes some patience. It's funny, but for me, having done it a few times, jostling it into position sometimes went more or less smoothly, then another time, for the first few minutes, it seems like it just won't fit, then it, in what seems like a miracle at that point, angles right through the obstacles and goes into position.

Bottom line for me, is just to go slowly and be patient. And yeah, keep an eye on those tiny o-rings, using grease to help, as you mentioned.
