The only thing that would have made this trip better would have been if there some other CB1100's to ride it with!
On the second day I decided to stay up in altitude on the BRP to stay out of the heat, it was perfect.
The 140 mile round trip had this type of view most of the time!
I loved the 45 mph speed limit (sometimes I was speeding doing a whole 50 mph:-), seemed plenty fast most of the time....allowed me to stay in 2nd, 3rd or 4th the entire time (going to 1st is a pain). I found I liked to up shift between 4000-5000 RPM and I liked to down shift below 3000 RPM. I found I like to use the engine as a brake whenever possible. This area is perfect, if it's hot go up, it's cold, stay down....there are curves everywhere!
I plan on going back in July if anyone is going to be in the area let me know....I might be able to schedule around your open dates.
The only mods include the windscreen, lighter and USB power supply and the cut out factory muffler. All the mods, including the tank and tail bags I bought after reading about them on this forum...I'm very thankful for that info and this forum!
