So now departing from Portland this Saturday morning we have:

Then meeting up with us in Troutdale:

Wow, more than I was expecting.

I had mentioned catching the backroads when we make our way back towards Portland. I thought that leaving Highway 26 in ZigZag would be nice (and it would be, but sadly I discovered that Barlow Trail Road is closed). So as a detour we could stay on 26 for a few more miles and then turn off at Marmot. From there we could head back on Marmot Rd, on to Ten Eyck Rd. to Sandy and then back on 26 through Sandy until Highway 212. 212 would take us through Boring and into Damascus where we can catch Foster Rd which will head right back into the general area where cooldrum and I am located in Portland. Just one suggestion, as we'll have Saturday morning to finalize details while perking up with some coffee.

That's right, although sitting next to the Sandy River, Steelhead Village might be a more appropriate name. Roaming around on a CB1100 with a fly rod would be a lot of fun and the thought has crossed my mind more than once (I have seen guys riding around with their rod case strapped aboard.). A dual sport setup would be ideal. I'll think about you on the ride this weekend MTC as we'll pass over a few really nice rivers for fly fishing during the course of the day.
