Good read: 2014 Honda CB1100 Deluxe Test

https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2014/12...luxe-test/

Don't think it's been mentioned here before. At least I couldn't find mention of it scanning back six pages of this section :-)

Good read. Especially interesting since it comes from a somewhat smaller woman. Good to see she wasn't overwhelmed by the bike.

Great photography with the article.

only glaring mis-fact...There was no 13 Dlx and no 13's had a 6 speed trans.

NOW they tell me my rear brake "has an appropriate soft touch for slow speed modulation" ... huh, who knew? I just thought they were weak!

I'm guilty of looking at storefront window reflections to check out my DLX... still think wow what a great looking bike!!! I also like the feel of my rear brake and sometimes use rear only for slower stops.

"Front: Dual four-piston calipers with full-floating 296mm discs with ABS ? "

looks like 3 pots on each side , am I wrong ?

The best part about growing up in Florida is i didn't have to move here when i got old.

Nope. The 4 pots are bolt together(as pictured in the article), whereas the 3-pots are sliding calipers with one big casting.

Thanks for pointing this out, kmoney. I have been wrong on many posts. I thought the '13 and '14 standards and the '14 DLX only had 2-pot calipers up front. I didn't realize they were 2-twin pots bolted together.
