Hello from the UK, no CB yet!
HelloHello

Been having a browse at CB1100's lately after mulling over getting a UJM and thought I'd pop in for some advice and a bit of chat about them, very few people around my area appreciative of them (especially my age group! 24).

Nearly gave up and bought a CB 750 F2 a few weeks ago from a family friend but reconsidered the newer option and booked a test ride for early November Big Grin (hopefully at least it'll be dry!)

Oh and currently riding a 09 Street Triple, 1992 KH 125 and a 1977 CG 125 Thumbs Up

Moxey, welcome to the best forum on the web!

Glad that you are considering the CB1100! I've owned 27-or-so bikes over the past 40 years and the CB1100 is the best all-around bike that I've ever owned.

Considering the bikes that you've already ridden, the CB1100 would be a perfect addition to your riding experience.

Welcome to the forum, Moxey! Thumbs Up

It's good to hear someone from your age group is interested in the CB.

Be sure to let us know your impressions from the test ride.

Will do! To be honest I've been after an all round usable motorcycle akin to what my dad had at my age (CB750 K0) since passing my test some 6 years ago but my purchases have been mostly motivated by budget or what my friends ride (performance orientated), in the last year I've really appreciated how often I ride just for my own personal enjoyment which is a lot more sedate than what my Triumph is capable of, always had a fancying for the CB 11 since first release but combination of the price and nay saying by friends has kept me at bay till now.

Likely to be my first question post test ride would be what year people prefer the most? I'm leaning more towards the 2014 Deluxe for the larger tank and style but could be swayed to a much cheaper (over here) 13 plate then add the features I want with time.

Jeez, that's quite a roster of bikes at only 24 years of age! If you are looking for all of the UJM goodness with none of the hassle of vintage ownership, the CB1100 is a great choice, and a very good deal in the pre- owned market right now. Keep us posted and dig through this forum for all the color you'll need.

No more CB, but a GB.
Triumphs and Ducatis.
A Norton, MV, and Morini 175.
Probably others.

more a question of what features mean the most to you..abs, gas capacity, symmetry, 5 or 6 speed, fuel computer, gear indicator, weight

check the boxes for items that mean the most to you and that will tell you what year and model to buy.
