Replacing Gaiters
My Kawasaki gaiters will arrive in a couple days. I seem to recall someone posting he installed his gaiters without removing the front wheel as well as not completely removing each fork. But I can't find that post. Does anyone have it bookmarked and could you provide a link to it? Thanks.

RE: Replacing Gaiters
Can't imagine how that could be accomplished.

RE: Replacing Gaiters
You might be confused. There was one post where the front forks where dropped while still attached to the tire and finder. That is an option. But, I followed Ferret's post and it only took an hour to complete. Less chance of damage to attached break lines.

RE: Replacing Gaiters
I tend to agree. In my case, I have pullback risers, so my cables and brake line are stretched to the limit. Also, the steering nut would have to come off, as well, wouldn't it, and, the brackets which hold the tubes in place. The Ferret's method is a one-man job. The other way appears to take extra hands.
I will do my gaiter swap following The Ferret's detailed instructions. They worked for me the first time. I'll even take credit for suggesting putting cardboard between the disc pads to keep the caliper pistons from sneaking out. My install took much longer than yours but I was in no hurry and will take my time replacing the gaiters I have for the Kawasaki ones.
